Xiaomi released Redmi A1+ in India at as low as Rs. 6999! Redmi A1+ comes in various storage and RAM configurations but 2 GB RAM / 32 GB storage is priced at Rs. 6,999 for a limited time.
Redmi A1+ launched in India
Despite being introduced in India, Redmi A1+ has not yet been made available for purchase. Redmi A1+ (2/32 variant) will now be available for purchase at Diwali discount offered by Xiaomi India, with a price tag of 6,999 INR. After the deal expires, will rise to 7,499 INR.
The phone comes in three colors: light green, light blue and black. Redmi A1+ has very similar design to the Redmi A1. Redmi A1+ is basically Redmi A1 with fingerprint sensor at the back.
Redmi A1+ is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 chipset and LPDDR4X RAM. It runs Android 12 (Go edition) out of the box. Unfortunately Redmi A1 series won’t have MIUI preinstalled since both the phones have an underpowered CPU and low amount of RAM.
At the back of Redmi A1+ it features a dual camera system, a depth sensor and 8 MP primary camera. Xiaomi prefers to include a depth sensor on their some phones, even if it is a low cost model. It would be beneficial if the Redmi A1 series only has one camera to cut costs, just like Redmi Pad.
Redmi A1+ packs a 5000 mAh battery and it comes with a 10W charger included in the box. As Xiaomi advertises, it offers 30 hours of video playback.
Redmi A1+ features a dedicated SD card slot, just like other Redmi smartphones that we are already familiar with. With that being said you can use 2 SIM cards and 1 SD card at the same time. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Note that this device has a Micro USB port instead of USB Type-C.
