Xiaomi is now preparing the Redmi A5, and its Mi code shows that it will be powered by a UniSOC T615 chip.
The model will succeed the affordable Redmi A3, which launched in February last year. The Redmi A5 is expected to be rebranded as the Poco C71.
The device was spotted in the Mi Code bearing the C3Z model number. The identification is directly linked to the “UMS9230E” code, which points to the UniSOC T615 chip. The SoC is entry-level, and we already have it in Tecno Spark Go 1.
To recall, the UniSOC T615 comes with two ARM Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores alongside an ARM Mali-G57 MP1.
Like its predecessor, the Redmi A5 is expected to offer entry-level specifications, including a 3GB/64GB minimum configuration. Other possible features could include a 5000mAh battery, 18W charging support, a 120Hz IPS display, and more.
