Redmi K50 Gaming will get its power from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a very hot processor. Everyone was wondering how a Gaming phone would cool down with this processor. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will give its real performance with the cooling system developed by Xiaomi.
We expected that Xiaomi will use a MediaTek Dimensity series processor in the Redmi K50 Gaming, as in the Redmi K40 Gaming. However, Xiaomi took the opposite corner and used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the Redmi K50 Gaming. This processor was a very hot processor, and it was mind-blowing how it could be the player phone. Xiaomi has developed a new cooling system to make the best use of this processor, which has performance problems because it gets hot.
Redmi K50 Gaming Dual VC Technology
Redmi K50 Gaming will use 4860mm² 3 layered Dual VC to make Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 cool. 4860 mm² covers almost the entire motherboard. This is the largest liquid cooling area ever built compared to devices made in the past. Dual VC technology opens as “Vapor Compression”. It provides a double layer high pressure liquid cooling instead of the single layer liquid cooling system in previous devices. Thanks to this liquid cooling technology, it is likened to a technology used in car engines by constantly circulating the water. Its material consists of an ultra-thin stainless steel. This 300 mesh ultra-dense capillary structure provides 40% better heat dissipation. By spreading the heat of the CPU to a wider area, liquid cooling provides a much better cooling. The use of stainless steel makes this technology stronger.
The Redmi K50 Gaming seems to be the most performing Gaming phone ever thanks to these unique technologies. The reason why Xiaomi used MediaTek Dimensity instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in Redmi K50 Pro is that this technology, which can cool Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, has a bad effect on design. If Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was used in the Redmi K50 Pro, the Redmi K50 Pro would not have had an elegant design due to its cooling system.
Redmi K50 Gaming will be introduced in China on February 16. We we will see Redmi K50 Gaming as the POCO F4 GT in the global market, and it seems to be an excellent device.
