Redmi K50 Pro+ might launch with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset; Here’s why

Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce the Redmi K50 lineup of smartphones in China, the series is expected to get four different smartphones i.e., Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50 Pro+ and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. While the Gaming Edition and Pro model was rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 8100 5G chipset respectively, the processor details of the upcoming Redmi K50 Pro+ has been tipped now.

According to Lu Weibing, the company’s executive, one of the smartphone in the K50 universe will be powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. He did not, however, specify which model will be powered by the chipset. The vanilla K50 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 870, the Pro model by Dimensty 8100, and the top end Gaming edition by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Redmi K50 Pro+ is strongly expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensnity 9000 5G chipset.

Now a tipster on the Chinese microblogging platform, Weibo has said that the smartphone which will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 is none other than the Redmi K50 Pro+ smartphone. The Dimensity 9000 is the most powerful chipset ever made by MediaTek. It has  1 Cortex-X2 super core, 3 Cortex-A710 large cores, and 4 Cortex-A510 small cores. Also, it integrates the ARM Mali-G710 GPU for graphic-intensive tasks. The chipset is built on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process which is believed to be superior to Samsung’s 4nm node.

If the leak regarding the presence of MediaTek Dimensiy 9000 chipset on Redmi  K50 Pro+ comes true, then the device is surely going to give a tough competition to its competitors. The device will further flaunt a 6.7-inches 120Hz Super AMOLED Panel,  5000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge, Triple rear camera setup with a 48MP or 64MP primary lens and much more.
