Redmi will soon launch a new top tier smartphone in the Redmi K50 lineup, namely Redmi K50 Ultra. Redmi K50 Ultra will sit above the Redmi K50 Pro and will, obviously, offer the highest-end specifications in the whole K50 lineup. The device will soon launch in the home county of the brand, China. The device was previously spotted on the IMEI database with the model number 22071212C.
Redmi K50 Ultra to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
We said 1 month ago that this device will come with SM8475 CPU, namely Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 is the most powerful chipset ever released by the Qualcomm Snapdragon and it also claims to be fixed all the thermal related issues of the predecessor.
The Redmi K50 Ultra will have similar specs to the Redmi K50 Pro, such as an 2K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a similar design and aesthetics, and possibly 120W HyperCharge support. The panel is also DC dimmable, making it easy on the eyes. The Redmi K50 Ultra has a single punch-hole for the camera and a flat panel with slight curves for easier handling.
It might offer a 4800mAh battery. The Redmi K50 Ultra will most likely be available only in China. Even the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is possible. However, we can anticipate this set of specifications eventually reaching global markets under the POCO brand. However, no official information about the device has been released; an official teaser or announcement by the brand will shed more light on the device.
