Redmi K80 Pro reportedly getting Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, 5500mAh battery, flat 2K 120Hz OLED

Redmi is believed to be preparing another powerful creation, and it could be the Redmi K80 Pro.

Redmi released the Redmi K70 series, and it offers a pretty interesting selection of models: Redmi K70e, K70, K70 Pro, and K70 Ultra. The lineup does not disappoint, with the models offering the Dimensity 8300, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the Dimensity 9300 Plus chips, respectively.

Now, the company is rumored to be working on its new creations, specifically the Redmi K80 series. In a recent post, tipster Digital Chat Station provided a set of impressive details for an unnamed device, which is believed to be the Redmi K80 Pro.

According to the account, the device would be armed with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which is expected to be unveiled in October. This echoes earlier reports about the model, which will be announced alongside the rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered vanilla Redmi K80 model.

DCS also claimed that the smartphone will get a huge 5500mAh battery. This should be a huge improvement compared to its predecessor, the Redmi K70 series, which only offers a 5000 mAh battery. The phone’s charging details were not shared, but we’re hoping that it will have the same or better power than what the K70 Pro is already offering at 120W.

In the display section, the account claimed that there would be a flat 2K 120Hz OLED screen. This part also reiterates earlier reports about the series, with rumors claiming that the entire lineup could get 2K resolution displays.
