Redmi K80 series reportedly comes with 6500mAh battery

According to the reputable leaker account Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K80 series is rumored to pack a huge 6500mAh battery.

The Redmi K80 series is expected to make its debut in November. The lineup will offer a variety of models, including the vanilla Redmi K80, Redmi K80, and Redmi K80 Pro. Xiaomi is secretive about the models, but DCS revealed some significant details about the phone’s batteries.

According to the tipster, the lineup has 5960mAh and 6060mAh battery capacities. However, when their typical capacities are considered, the numbers could be bumped to 6100mAh and 6200mAh, respectively. According to the account, the lineup’s maximum capacity in the laboratory is now at 6500mAh. If true, this should be a huge improvement over the batteries in the K70 series, which only offer up to a 5500mAh rating through the K70 Ultra model.

The news follows earlier rumors about Xiaomi reportedly investing in its battery and charging tech efforts. As per the same leaker, the Chinese giant is now “investigating” huge battery capacities, including 6000mAh, 6500mAh, 7000mAh, and an incredibly enormous 7500mAh battery. According to DCS, the company’s current fastest charging solution is 120W, but the tipster noted that it could fully charge a 7000mAh battery within 40 minutes.
