Redmi K80 Ultra lacks periscope but offers metal frame, ultrasonic sensor, brand’s ‘largest battery’

Some details of the Redmi K80 Ultra have leaked online. While the phone reportedly lacks in the periscope section, it is said to sport Redmi’s biggest battery soon.

The Redmi K80 series debuted last November, and we are now waiting for the arrival of its Ultra model. Tipster Smart Pikachu shared that the premium model will offer a metal frame, a glass body, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. However, the account claimed that it still doesn’t have a periscope unit despite being at the top of the lineup. To recall, its Pro sibling in China has a rear camera setup made up of 50MP 1/ 1.55″ Light Fusion 800 + 32MP Samsung S5KKD1 ultrawide + 50MP Samsung S5KJN5 2.5x telephoto.

On a positive note, the tipster said that the phone will offer the largest battery from Redmi. Earlier leaks noted that it would house a 6500mAh battery, but the standard model already has a 6550mAh rating. With this, there is a possibility that the phone could offer around 7000mAh capacity.

That is not impossible as more brands embrace the 7000mAh rating as the new standard in most modern models these days. Moreover, an earlier leak revealed that Xiaomi started exploring various battery and charging combinations for its smartphones. One included a huge 7500mAh battery with 100W charging support.
