The Redmi Note 11SE just got released very quietly, with just a Weibo post and nothing else. However, there is a catch. The Redmi Note 11SE is just a Redmi Note 10 5G, with the design of the POCO M3 Pro 5G, and this is proof that Xiaomi is once again just releasing the same device twice. So, let’s get into the details.
Redmi Note 11SE specs and more
The Redmi Note 11SE is basically just a Redmi Note 10 5G in the POCO M3 Pro 5G’s design. Both devices feature the same specs, and the design is the exact same as the aforementioned POCO M3 Pro 5G. Both devices feature Dimensity processors, but the Note 11SE has some very outdated details.
The Redmi Note 11 SE, when compared to the newly released Redmi Note 11T Pro series, has some very outdated specs, except for the SoC. The device features two storage configurations, with those being 4/128 and 6/128, the SoC is a Mediatek Dimensity 700, which is fairly new, and the display is a 90Hz IPS LCD at 1080p. It also features a dual camera layout, with a 48MP main camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
However, the device ships with MIUI 12 based on Android 11. Yes, you read that right. MIUI 12, not 12.5 for some unknown reason. So this device will most likely not see many Android updates. We don’t know what the strategy here actually is, but we hope Xiaomi has some new and innovative devices in the pipeline, like the Note 11T Pro series.
