In two days, Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and Xiaomi has already begun sharing information regarding the camera! Although Redmi Note 11 series were popular among the smartphones, even the top tier Redmi Note 11 Pro+‘s primary camera lacked OIS.

Despite having a 200 MP sensor, the Xiaomi allows you to snap photos in a 3 different resolutions. You have the option of taking pictures in 12.5 MP standard mode, 50 MP balanced mode, or 200 MP full quality. When you don’t need extreme detail, you can save space without compromising quality a lot by selecting a lower resolution option.
- 200 MP – 16320×12240
- 50 MP – 8160×6120
- 12.5 MP – 4080×3060
This sensor is also capable of shooting videos at 4K 120 FPS and 8K 30 FPS and it features 16 to 1 binning and QPD autofocus. Here’s a sample shot taken on Redmi Note 12 Pro+’s 200 MP main camera. Note that Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080.
