Redmi Note 12R Pro will launch on April 29, here’s everything about it!

Xiaomi is set to launch a new smartphone on April 29th, named Redmi Note 12R Pro. It’s an entry level device and will be powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 1. Let’s take a look at what this new phone offers.

Redmi Note 12R Pro

Which smartphones have come with Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset? Even though there are not many, we have already witnessed this chipset on Redmi Note 12 5G. Redmi Note 12R Pro is basically a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 5G, differing only in RAM and storage capacity.

Xiaomi offered the previously introduced Redmi Note 12 5G with three different variants 4GB RAM + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. The upcoming Redmi Note 12R Pro will come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

For some reason, Xiaomi thought that Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 required an additional 4GB of RAM considering that the phone already has an 8GB variant. 8GB of RAM would be more than enough for Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. Due to its feature specs resembling a rebrand, we expect the phone to share similarities with the existing Redmi Note 12 5G. The phone is set to come with a 6.67-inch FHD OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and 1200 nit brightness. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset and will come with a special 12GB + 256GB variant.

The phone is equipped with an IP53 certification, with the fingerprint sensor located on the power button and a microSD card slot is also present. It will house a 5000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. In the camera setup, we see dual cameras and we believe that one of them is a 48 MP main camera and the other is a macro camera or depth sensor.
