Redmi Turbo 5 to get Dimensity 8500, 7000mAh+ battery

More details about the Redmi Turbo 5 have surfaced, including its processor and battery.

The Redmi Turbo 4 launched at the beginning of the year. Now that we’re already in the third quarter, it is no surprise that Xiaomi is now preparing its successor. While it is expected to remain exclusive in China, it could be introduced to the global markets as the Poco X8 Pro model.

Amid the wait, a new leak about the Redmi model has arrived. According to a reputable leaker, Digital Chat Station, the device will be powered by the Dimensity 8500, which is expected since its predecessor used the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra. To recall, this chip was paired with up to 16GB of RAM.

In the battery department, on the other hand, the Redmi Turbo 5 allegedly has a high-silicon battery with a typical capacity starting at 7000mAh. To compare, the current Turbo model has a 6550mAh cell with 90W wired charging.

According to DCS, the upcoming model is also expected to have a simple design, a metal middle frame, and a flat 1.5K LTPS display.
