Renders show Vivo V40 is getting a completely different design

It seems the Vivo V40 will be completely different from its predecessor.

Rumors about the model continue to circulate online, with an earlier report showing that it would have different variants (with and without NFC support). Now, a new leak has surfaced on the web showing the render of the phone.

According to the images shared by leaker @Sudhanshu1414 (via 91Mobiles) on X, the phone will be available in purple and silver. Unlike the Vivo V30 lineup, however, the V40 appears to get a whole new design.

In the images shared, the Vivo V40 still has its rear camera island placed in the upper left section of the back panel. However, compared to its predecessor, the island will get a pill-shaped form. It will house the camera lenses and flash units, which will be encased in circular and elongated islands. This is entirely different from the design of the V30 camera island, which employs square elements for its modules. Nonetheless, the renders show that the Vivo V40 will still have the curved display the earlier V models had.

The other features of the series remain unknown, but they could share some similarities with the V40 SE model (unveiled in the European market in March. ), which offers the following details:

  • The 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC powers the unit.
  • Vivo V40 SE is offered in EcoFiber leather purple with textured design and anti-stain coating. The crystal black option has a different design.

  • The flat 6.67-inch Ultra Vision AMOLED display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080×2400 pixels resolution, and 1,800-nit peak brightness.
