Oppo has confirmed that aside from its Oppo Reno 12 series, it also plans to bring its next flagship creations to the global market.
The Oppo Reno 12 launched in May in China, but recent leaks revealed the company’s plan to offer it outside its local market. The company confirmed the move at its AI conference in London on Wednesday.
To recall, the lineup includes the standard Oppo Reno 12 and the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. The two models sport a handful of interesting details that could attract smartphone fans in today’s market. To start, they boast quad-curved display technology, making the 6.7” OLED screen appear almost bezel-less.
Inside, they house powerful components, including the 5,000mAh batteries with 80W charging and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. In terms of the processor, the two get different chips, with the base model using the Dimensity 8250 and the Pro model relying on the Dimensity 9200+ chip. The camera department is also packed with some powerful lenses, with both phones using 50MP selfie units and the Pro model offering a 50MP/50MP/8MP rear camera system arrangement.
The company did not specify in the event the exact timeline of the global launch of the Reno 12, but it is believed to be happening this month.
Interestingly, in addition to the said series, the company also promised to bring its future flagships to global markets. The brand has yet to comment on these devices, but rumors about the Find X7’s successor are already circulating online, including the alleged debut of the Find X8 in October. The Ultra variant of the lineup, however, is said to be launching in 2025.
