Bought this phone after careful consideration. I chose it because it offered a middle ground between the competition, and mainly because of the AMOLED screen and the freedom provided by an unlocked bootloader. Compared to my older Redmi Note 9S, it has less performance, however the battery life is surprisingly longer than the 9S (maybe because the battery on the 9S has degraded over time). I bought the 8gb RAM, 128gb ROM variant. Apps rarely close unless I accidentally close them (required some tweaking of the cleaner in the security app). For casual use, it gets the job done. Camera is a bit worse compared to the 9S (due to the smaller sensor), however that can be fixed with GCAM. For gaming, I would recommend the Infinix Note 30 instead. It has the G99 processor, which is much faster (I have heard that some models come with the G85 instead, so do consult with your phone shop). Another point is that the buttons on this phone are placed a bit lower, which makes for an amazing portrait experience for people with smaller hands. However, in landscape mode the buttons do get a bit hard to reach. The fingerprint sensor sits near the middle of the screen, and my thumb naturally goes there as I take the phone out of my pocket. The fingerprint sensor is fast, similar to all previous Note series phones. Charging is quick, and with my charge habits (20% to 80%) it gets done in nearly 35 minutes with the 33 watt charger provided in the box. Battery lasts more than a day, however there are a few times where I had to let it charge again (But that can be blamed on me trying to reduce charge cycles), but with the 33 watt charging it\'s ready to go quite quickly. However, battery does get drained at a much faster rate at 120hz and the software is unable to reduce it down to 60hz if the user is not interacting with the phone. It does get reduced to 60hz if the currently open app doesn\'t support 120hz. On the software side, MIUI still has a few quirks and bugs. For one, do not disturb seems to not work for some apps, which required me to install \"Automate\" to modify hidden DND settings. Secondly, some features are hidden, for which this website\'s MIUI Downloader app works perfectly (it gives you access to hidden features). Box came with the phone, charging cable (USB-A to USB-C, with the ports being colored orange which looks awesome), 33 watt charging brick, pre-applied plastic screen protector, silicon case, warranty card, and the quick start guide. I am writing this review as a person who loves to tinker with the software and hardware of his devices. If that is not you, and you are the type of person who wants a casual experience without any of the software hassle, I would recommend going with Samsung\'s A series instead. They are weaker in the hardware department, but they offer a much better software experience without any tinkering. In my area, this phone and the Samsung A14 had the same price.
