The Huawei Mate XT could soon face a rival in the Tecno Phantom Ultimate G Fold, which recently leaked through live images.
The Mate XT remains the lone trifold model in the market, and the Chinese brand is rumored to be launching its successor this year with an improved chip and camera system. In the future, nonetheless, Huawei could soon welcome some rivals in the market, including Infinix.
The company earlier shared the Phantom Ultimate 2 with an 11mm dual-hinge trifold concept. Now, it is making another step forward by introducing a new trifold concept to fans.
The Phantom Ultimate G Fold is expected to launch this month. Ahead of the announcement for the inward-folding device, some of its live shots have emerged online.
According to the photos, it has a trio of cameras on its back and comes in a silver colorway with a textured pattern. As usual, it has a front display, while all of its main screens can be folded inwardly, giving them full protection when not in use.
Moreover, it is noticeable that the Infinix trifold appears to be incredibly thin. According to the brand, it will be the slimmest trifold, meaning it will beat the 12.8mm folded form of the Mate XT.
Sadly, the Tecno Phantom Ultimate G Fold is still in its concept stage, and there are still no words about its commercial production. Yet, we hope it will hit the market soon to challenge Huawei’s unchallenged reign in the trifold market.
