A new leak suggests that even the most basic model in the Huawei Pura 80 series will have a powerful camera system.
The lineup will be unveiled in China on June 11. According to reports, the series will have a powerful camera system, with leaks revealing that Huawei will use its in-house lenses in the upcoming phones. As usual, the Ultra model is expected to offer the best set of lenses among the variants. Nonetheless, a new leak says that even the standard variant can also impress fans.
In a recent leak shared by a tipster on X, the vanilla Pura phone will have four cameras on its back. It includes a 50MP 1” main camera with a variable aperture, a 50MP 1/1.3” secondary lens with a dual focal length, a 40MP ultrawide, and a 2MP color sensor. To compare, the Huawei Pura 70 has a 50MP 1/1.3″ main camera with OIS, a 12MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 5x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide unit.
The account also shared the alleged live photo of the phone’s rear camera island. As expected, it has adopted the same triangular camera module shape as its predecessor and has Huawei’s XMAGE branding printed on it.
According to earlier rumors, Huawei will debut its first in-house lenses soon, the SC5A0CS and SC590XS. Both use the RYYB tech and 50MP resolution and are expected to be used on the Pura 80 series.
The new Ultra model is allegedly armed with a 50MP 1″ main camera paired with a 50MP ultrawide unit and a large periscope with a 1/1.3″ sensor. The system also allegedly implements a variable aperture for the main camera. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro model is also expected to use Huawei’s new lens. The phone is allegedly coming with a SmartSens 50MP 1″ SC5A0CS for its main camera.
