The Vivo S30 series will debut this month, and it will include a compact model with some interesting details.
The series’ existence was discovered a month ago, with a leaker revealing that instead of naming it S21 ( as the current series is called Vivo S20), the next lineup will adopt the moniker Vivo S30.
Now, reputable leaker Digital Chat Station claimed to have first-hand experience with the series, including the rumored Vivo S30 Pro Mini compact model. According to the account, the handheld has a “mini” form but houses a huge battery, which is larger than what the compact models offer currently on the market. To recall, the latest compact model in the industry is the OnePlus 13T with a 6260mAh battery. As per DCS, the compact S30 model’s battery will exceed this capacity, making it “the largest” among mini handhelds.
According to the tipster, the Vivo S30 Pro Mini phone will also feature the same periscope telephoto unit found in the Vivo X200s model. To recall, the said model has a 50MP OIS main camera + 50MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 3x optical zoom + 50MP ultrawide setup on its back. The periscope unit uses a Sony IMX882 sensor.
An earlier leak revealed that the compact S30 series model could offer a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus SoC, a 6.31″ OLED screen, and four colorways (blue, gold, pink, and black).
