After a series of leaks and claims, the Vivo X Fold 3 series might finally have an exact date for its launch: March 26.
That’s according to a recent post on the Chinese platform Weibo, revealing an official-looking poster from Vivo. According to the material, the company will be unveiling the new devices on March 26, which is just days away. Additionally, the poster shows that it will be a series, affirming earlier reports that the event would cover the anticipated Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro models.
Based on earlier leaks, both smartphone models in the series are promising. Vivo X Fold 3 is expected to be the lightest and thinnest device with an inward vertical hinge. It will support 80W wired fast charging and come with a 5,550mAh battery. Additionally, the device will be 5G capable. The rear camera system includes a 50MP primary camera with OmniVision OV50H, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and up to 40x digital zoom. The model is reportedly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
It is believed that the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will share the same appearance but will differ in internals. As per earlier claims, the Pro model features a rear circular camera module housing better lenses: a 50MP OV50H OIS main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens with OIS and 4K/60fps support. The front camera, on the other hand, is reportedly a 32MP sensor on the internal screen. Inside, it is believed that it will house the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Moreover, the Pro model could offer a 6.53-inch cover panel and an 8.03-inch foldable display, which are both LTPO AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. Tipsters shared that it would also boast a 5,800mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. Storage options might include up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Ultimately, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is rumored to be dust and waterproof, with additional features like an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and a built-in infrared remote control.
Recently, AnTuTu benchmarking has also made a claim that the Pro model “has the highest score among folding screens” that it tested in the past. According to the team, it discovered a Vivo folding device with a model number V2337A, which uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and a generous 16GB RAM memory. The benchmarking firm applauded the hardware, noting that it could allow the device to be in the same place as other superior flagships in the market.
