Next month, Vivo X100s is expected to launch in China. Yet, there are already rumors sharing what details fans should expect from the model.
Vivo X100s will join the Vivo X100 series, which now offers the X100 and X100 Pro. The new model is expected to top the series as a high-end option, translating to a huge difference between the unit and its siblings. However, it should be taken with a pinch of salt at the moment as some rumors about the smartphone are a bit contradictory to expectations now.
To start, Vivo X100s is getting MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ as a chip, as claimed by Digital Chat Station. The chip is not yet available, but it is reportedly an overclocked Dimensity 9300. If it is true, it would be a promising device for gaming, especially since the eight-core chipset is already impressive with its 1-core Cortex-X4 at 3250 MHz, 3 cores Cortex-X4 at 2850 MHz, and 4 cores Cortex-A720 at 2000 MHz. According to reviews, the 4nm chip reached 2218 single-core and 7517 multi-core GeekBench 6 scores and 16233 in 3DMark.
As for its appearance, the unit is said to be getting an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, while its glass rear panel will be complemented by a metal frame. Add to that, the display of X100s is believed to be a flat OLED FHD+. The model will be available in four color options, with a white one being included.
For its battery and charging capability, earlier reports claim that X100s will come with a 5,000mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging. This is where things start to get a bit confusing since the Vivo X100 series is already sporting 120W fast charging. With this, as a “high-end” unit, it just makes no sense if its charging capability would be less appealing than its siblings.
Those things, nonetheless, should be confirmed in a few weeks when it launches in China next month.
