Vivo opened the back of a Vivo X200 Ultra unit to give fans a peek at its lenses.
Vivo will unveil several new smartphone models next month. One of them is the Vivo X200 Ultra, which is expected to remain exclusive to the Chinese market. Ahead of its launch, the brand shared images of the handheld’s internals, focusing on its camera lenses.
The picture shows the three lenses of the Ultra phone. The biggest among them is the Samsung ISOCELL HP9 periscope unit. The 1/1.4″ lens was compared to two other periscope modules taken from the X100 Ultra and an unnamed model to show their size differences. According to Vivo’s Han Boxiao, the bigger periscope telephoto unit “has a larger aperture and increases the amount of light by 38%.”
We also get to see the two 50MP Sony LYT-818 units for the main (35mm) and ultrawide (14mm) cameras. The brand compared the latter, a 1/1.28″ lens, to a conventional ultrawide module in the market, underscoring their significant size difference.
According to earlier leaks, the lenses are placed in a circular camera island. Vivo is reportedly collaborating with Fujifilm to improve its camera system further. As usual, ZEISS technology will also be present in the X200 Ultra. There will also be a customizable button that will be “mainly used for taking photos and recording videos.”
Earlier leaks revealed that the Vivo X200 Ultra will be available in black, red, and white options. It is also rumored to offer a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a curved 2K display, 4K@120fps HDR video recording support, Live Photos, a 6000mAh battery, and up to 1TB storage. As per rumors, it will have a price tag of around CN¥5,500 in China.
