Vivo releases X200 Ultra’s portrait photo samples

Vivo is back to showcase the power of the upcoming Vivo X200 Ultra’s camera system.

Vivo wants to paint the Vivo X200 Ultra as the ultimate camera smartphone. Ahead of its launch, the brand has shared several details about the phone. After revealing the device’s camera lenses, the company is now showing off how each lens performs.

In the past few days, we have seen samples of the Vivo X200 Ultra’s ultrawide and telephoto cameras. Now, Vivo has shared new sample shots taken using the X200 Ultra’s main and periscope cameras.

In the post, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared several photos taken using X200 Ultra’s 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm focal lengths. The first two used the handheld’s 50MP 1/1.28″ LYT-818 main camera, while the last two employed its 200MP ISOCELL HP9 periscope unit.

To underscore how powerful the lenses are in various settings, Vivo shot the images in natural light and low-light scenarios. One of the images even used the flash unit of the X200 Ultra and still managed to provide natural-looking tones and details.

As earlier reported, the Ultra phone houses a 50MP Sony LYT-818 (35mm) main camera, a 50MP Sony LYT-818 (14mm) ultrawide camera, and a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 (85mm) periscope camera. Han Boxiao also confirmed that the X200 Ultra houses the VS1 and V3+ imaging chips, which should further aid the system in providing accurate light and colors. Other details expected from the phone include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a curved 2K display, 4K@120fps HDR video recording support, Live Photos, a 6000mAh battery, and up to 1TB storage. As per rumors, it will have a price tag of around CN¥5,500 in China.
