Vivo X200 Ultra, X200S live images leak ahead of April 21 launch

Vivo has finally announced the launch date of the Vivo X200 Ultra and Vivo X200S. Ahead of the date, live images of the devices leak online.

The Vivo X200 series will soon be expanded further with the addition of the Vivo X200 Ultra and Vivo X200S. After the brand earlier confirmed that the devices would be coming this month, it has now revealed their official launch date: April 21.

While the brand remains secretive about the official design of the Vivo X200 Ultra and Vivo X200S, tipster Digital Chat Station shared their live images on Weibo. Both have huge circular camera islands on the upper center of the back panel. However, their lenses are arranged differently. Moreover, the Vivo X200 Ultra shows a distinctive design, confirming earlier leaks about its Rimowa collaboration.

The news follows several teasers Vivo shared involving the Vivo X200 Ultra. The company earlier showcased the phone’s lenses and later shared shots using its main, ultrawide, and telephoto cameras.

As earlier reported, the Ultra phone houses a 50MP Sony LYT-818 (35mm) main camera, a 50MP Sony LYT-818 (14mm) ultrawide camera, and a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 (85mm) periscope camera. Han Boxiao also confirmed that the X200 Ultra houses the VS1 and V3+ imaging chips, which should further aid the system in providing accurate light and colors. Other details expected from the phone include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a curved 2K display, 4K@120fps HDR video recording support, Live Photos, a 6000mAh battery, and up to 1TB storage.

Meanwhile, the Vivo X200S is expected to offer a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, a 6.67″ flat 1.5K BOE Q10 display with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a 50MP/50MP/50MP rear camera setup (3X periscope telephoto macro, f/1.57 – f/2.57 variable apertures, 15mm – 70mm focal lengths), 90W wired charging, 40W wireless charging support, 6200mAh battery.

The Vivo X200S’ renders leaked days ago, revealing its Soft Purple and Mint Blue colorways. According to the photos, the Vivo X200s still implements a flat design all over its body, including in its side frames, back panel, and display. On its back, there’s also a huge camera island in the upper center. It houses four cutouts for the lenses and flash unit, while the Zeiss branding is located in the middle of the module.
