Official confirms Vivo X200S’ Dimensity 9400+, bypass charging, wireless charging support

Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared some exciting details about the highly-anticipated Vivo X200S.

Vivo is expected to launch new devices next month. In addition to the Vivo X200 Ultra, the brand will introduce the Vivo X200S, which is said to be an enhanced Vivo X200 model.

The brand earlier showcased the phone’s front and rear design. Now, Vivo’s Han Boxiao has confirmed some of the key details of the phone on Weibo.

In his post, the official affirmed earlier leaks that the X200S would be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip. This is an improvement over the Dimensity 9400 in the vanilla X200.

The post also mentions that the X200S will feature a BOE Q10 display, noting that it is equipped with some eye-protection capabilities.

The manager also revealed that the phone will have wireless charging support, which the X200 does not offer. Interestingly, the official also shared that the phone will have bypass charging support, allowing the unit to use power directly from a source instead of its battery.

According to earlier reports, the Vivo X200S offers a 1.5K 120Hz display, a single-point ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support, and a battery capacity of around 6000mAh. It is also rumored to feature a trio of cameras on its back, featuring a 50MP LYT-600 periscope unit with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera, and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide. Other details expected from the Vivo X200S include three color options (black, silver, and purple) and a glass body made from a “new” splicing process tech.
