Xiaomi might reveal their next flagship at Mobile World Congress 2023 next month. Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro already use the Sony IMX 989 1″ camera sensor. The future flagship smartphone is expected to come with 1″ sensor again and some improvements made over Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
Xiaomi 13S Ultra
Mobile World Congress will be held in Barcelona. It will begin on February 27 and end on March 2. Companies usually present their latest technologies in such events, with that being said, even if they introduce their new flagship, it may take some time for them to put the brand-new smartphone phone up for sale.
The information we know regarding the phone is quite limited. It’s expected to launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and QHD display. There’s nothing interesting here though since all the Ultra models feature latest flagship and a QHD display. What matters most is how Xiaomi improved the 1″ IMX 989 camera sensor.
These are just the rumors, Xiaomi 13S Ultra is not confirmed yet. Xiaomi usually releases their top-tier devices in China market only, Xiaomi does make change on their marketing strategy if this is correct.
Xiaomi Pad 6
The rumors also say that Xiaomi is working on “Xiaomi Pad 6 series” with two different tablet models Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. Xiaomi Pad 6 might come with Snapdragon 870 processor and Xiaomi may release it globally.
The Pro model, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is expected to feature more powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and OLED display. Previous model, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro features IPS display. Unfortunately, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro won’t be available in global markets. The codename of Xiaomi Pad 6 is “pipa“, and Pro model’s codename is “liuqin“.
