Xiaomi just revealed the latest addition to its new flagship series which is Xiaomi 13 Ultra, and now rumors have begun to surface about Xiaomi 14 series. Xiaomi 13 Ultra was unveiled, boasting an impressive camera system, but it lacks the floating telephoto lens that’s found on Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Some users consider this a drawback, although there is currently no information available about the camera specifications for the Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi may bring the floating telephoto camera back to Xiaomi 14 Pro.
Xiaomi 14 series
Wei Xu, who serves as Design Director for Xiaomi’s Industrial Design Department, has stated that the design of Xiaomi 14 Pro has been completed and it will be more exciting than Mi 11 Ultra. When it was released, the Mi 11 Ultra drew attention for its periscope telephoto camera and its capability to record video in 8K resolution on main camera and auxiliary cameras as well.
Additionally, the device features a small display on the rear camera array, allowing users to view the frame from both front and back of the phone when taking photos with the rear cameras. This is quite useful for those who prefer to take selfies with the rear cameras or to set a timer and take a photo using the rear cameras.
Currently, there is limited information available regarding the technical features of Xiaomi 14 series. It is too early to speculate on this matter. However, we can confirm that Xiaomi is indeed developing Xiaomi 14 series. It is worth noting that Xiaomi 13 series was launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Therefore, it is unlikely for the Xiaomi 14 series to be introduced in the near future with the same processor. We may have more information about Xiaomi 14 when Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has been announced officially by Qualcomm.
