Instead of just the base Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro models, Xiaomi could also offer the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in India. That’s according to the tease of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently, suggesting that it would launch the entire “series” in the market on March 7.
The countdown has begun – only 3 days until the grand reveal of #Xiaomi14Series.

The lineup is expected to arrive this week in the Indian market, with earlier reports claiming that it would only be limited to the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro models. However, in a recent post from Xiaomi India, the company shared that it would have “the grand reveal of #Xiaomi14Series.” This led to beliefs that the company could also introduce the Ultra variant soon.
The 14 Ultra will top the lineup. It is being advertised as a highly camera-focused model with a rear camera system consisting of a 50MP wide, a 50MP telephoto, a 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide. During the MWC in Barcelona, the company shared more details of the unit with fans. Xiaomi highlighted the power of Ultra’s Leica-powered camera system by underscoring its variable aperture system, which is also present in Xiaomi 14 Pro. With this capability, 14 Ultra can perform 1,024 stops between f/1.63 and f/4.0, with the aperture appearing to open up and close down to do the trick during a demo shown by the brand earlier.
Aside from that, Ultra comes with 3.2x and 5x telephoto lenses, which are both stabilized. Xiaomi also equipped the Ultra model with a log recording capability, a feature that recently debuted in the iPhone 15 Pro. The feature can be a useful tool for users who want serious video capabilities on their phones, allowing them to have flexibility in editing colors and contrast in post-production. Aside from that, the model is capable of up to 8K@24/30fps video recording, making it a powerful tool for video enthusiasts. Its 32MP camera is also powerful, allowing users to record up to 4K@30/60fps.
Inside, the 14 Ultra houses a handful of powerful hardware, including the Qualcomm SM8650-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4nm) chipset and up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage. As for its battery, the international version will get a 5000 mAh battery, which has a lower capacity compared to the 5300 battery the Chinese version gets. On the other hand, its LTPO AMOLED display measures 6.73 inches and supports 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and up to 3000 nits of peak brightness.
While this sounds exciting, fans should still take things with a pinch of salt. With the company still not clarifying the details of its “series” launch, the possibility of the arrival of the Ultra model in the Indian market remains murky.
