Redmi K70 Ultra has yet to be released, but it seems the Xiaomi version of the model is already being prepared.
That’s according to the Xiaomi 14T Pro’s model number spotted on the IMEI database. As first reported by GSMChina, the model has several model numbers in the document: 2407FPN8EG for the international, 2407FPN8ER for Japanese, and 2407FRK8EC for the Chinese version. This suggests that the model would also arrive in the Japanese market, but this is not the only interesting point in the discovery.
Based on past reports, the IMEI database Chinese version model numbers of the Xiaomi 14T Pro and Redmi K70 Ultra are highly similar. With this, there is a huge chance that the Xiaomi 14T Pro will just be a rebranded Redmi K70 Ultra. The model should be the successor of the Xiaomi 13T series.
This is not a huge surprise as Xiaomi is known for renaming some of its products to a different brand under its umbrella. Just recently, a separate leak revealed that the Poco X6 Neo could be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13R Pro after highly similar rear designs of the models surfaced online. According to reports, the Poco X6 Neo will arrive in India to focus on the Gen Z market as an affordable unit.
The news about the Xiaomi 14T Pro came as the world continues to wait for the release of the Redmi K70 Ultra in August. With this, the 14T series might likely make its launch after that. As for its features, the 14T Pro is expected to borrow the set of features and hardware of the Redmi K70 Ultra if it is true that it will just be a rebranded model. In that case, according to earlier leaks, the new Xiaomi phone should get a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, 8GB RAM, 5500mAh battery, 120W fast charging, 6.72-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, and a 200MP/32MP/5MP rear camera setup.
