CEO promises Xiaomi 15 Ultra debut at the end of month, shares sample shot

CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be announced at the end of the month and posted a sample photo taken using the device.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been making the headlines for the past weeks, and it is expected to hit the global markets alongside the vanilla Xiaomi 15 soon. The Ultra model will be announced domestically first, and Lei Jun confirmed that it would be coming at the end of the month.

In a recent post, the executive also shared a sample photo taken using the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The details of the phone’s camera configuration were not mentioned, but the photo shows that a 100mm (f/2.6) camera was used. The CEO also affirmed reports that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra “is positioned as the top technology imaging flagship.”

According to reputable leaker Digital Chat Station, the handheld uses a 200MP Samsung S5KHP9 periscope telephoto (1/1.4 “, 100mm,  f/2.6). In addition to the said unit, the system reportedly contains a 50MP 1″ Sony LYT-900 main camera, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide, and a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also allegedly coming with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the company’s self-developed Small Surge chip, eSIM support, satellite connectivity, 90W charging support, a 6.73″ 120Hz display, IP68/69 rating, a 16GB/512GB configuration option, three colors (black, white, and silver), and more. The phone’s 512GB option is expected to sell for €1,499 in Europe.
