Reputable leaker Digital Chat Station is back to share more details about the upcoming Xiaomi 16 series models.
Recent certifications indicate that Xiaomi is already preparing its next flagship lineup. According to past reports, the first models could be introduced in September after the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2’s launch. Amid the wait, we are hearing varying claims about the series models, with one saying that there will be two 6.3″ models (vanilla and Pro Mini) in the lineup. However, this changes today with DCS’s recent leak.
According to the tipster, the standard Xiaomi 16 model will measure 6.5″, while the Xiaomi 16 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini will have displays measuring 6.8″ and 6.3″, respectively.
In his post, the leaker suggested that the entire series will offer 50MP selfie cameras, but noted that the Pro Mini has a larger main camera and a periscope unit. Despite having wireless charging support, the said model is said to have a smaller battery than the vanilla variant due to its size. Yet, the tipster claimed that this is not yet final, saying Xiaomi is still working on it.
Ultimately, DCS shared his opinion, underscoring that the standard Xiaomi 16 “is actually a good choice” in the lineup. The account noted that it offers a great balance in terms of its size, large battery, and other impressive specs. According to past reports, the phone could feature a battery with a capacity above 6500mAh.
