A new series of leaks about the Xiaomi 16 lineup revealed new details about their display and screen bezels.
The Xiaomi 16 series is coming in October. Months ahead of that event, we are hearing several rumors about the lineup’s models, including the alleged bigger display.
According to earlier reports, the vanilla Xiaomi 16 has a bigger display but will be thinner and lighter. However, tipster @That_Kartikey claimed otherwise on X, saying that the model will still have a 6.36″ screen. Yet, the account claimed that the Xiaomi 16 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Ultra models will have bigger displays measuring around 6.8″. To recall, the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra both have a 6.73″ display.
Interestingly, the tipster claimed that the entire Xiaomi 16 series will now adopt flat displays. When asked why, the leaker dismissed the idea that it was to cut costs. As the account underscored, producing the displays of the Xiaomi 16 series will still cost the company a lot due to the use of LIPO technology. The leak also revealed that this will lead to thinner bezels for the series, noting that the black border will now only measure 1.1mm. Together with the frame, the series is said to offer bezels that only measure around 1.2mm. To recall, the Xiaomi 15 has 1.38mm bezels.
