Xiaomi Android 13 Beta 2 update will be released this evening for three new devices. A post was shared on Xiaomi Community. In this post, it was said that 3 Xiaomi devices will receive this update during the Android 13 Beta 2 promotion at the Google I/O event this evening.
Xiaomi Android 13 Beta 2 – Devices & Requirements
The new Xiaomi Android 13 Beta 2, as we mentioned, is available to three new devices, those devices being Xiaomi’s most recent flagship smartphones and tablets. The full list is as goes:
- Redmi K50 Pro
- Xiaomi 12
- Xiaomi 12 Pro
- Xiaomi Pad 5
However we’re sure that new devices will be added to this list later August. The beta will be released as a Fastboot ROM, and unfortunately, it has one big catch. You will have to format your devices data in order to install Xiaomi Android 13 Beta 2. So, if you plan on installing it, we recommend backing up your data.
You will also need to have your device’s bootloader unlocked, which is a big issue for some people. However, this is only a Android Beta update, aimed towards, obviously, developers. So if you’re an end-user, we don’t recommend that you install the beta just yet. Because some functions of your phone may not working.

How to Install Xiaomi Android 13 Beta 2 Update?
The Android 13 Beta will also obviously be based on stock Android, and not MIUI 13. Though, this was expected as most developers will use stock Android as a baseline for their apps, and Google most likely wouldn’t let Xiaomi ship MIUI with their developer beta.
- Make sure your device has an unlocked bootloader. You can use unlock bootloader of Xiaomi guide if locked.
- Back up all your important data.
- Download the Android 13 builds for your preferred Xiaomi flagship.
- Boot your device into Fastboot mode. You can follow how to enter fastboot mode guide.
- Flash the new beta with the provided script.
