Xiaomi has just announced a partnership with YouTube which promises to give users of certain phones an extended free trial of YouTube Premium. A direct quote from Xiaomi can be read here.

The YouTube Premium membership gives users access to ad-free content, YouTube’s original series, and a subscription to YouTube Music Premium where users can get unlimited, ad-free access to more than 80 million official songs plus live performances, covers, and remixes. Xiaomi made this gift available only to its newer devices, which is a bummer for those of us with one of their previously released devices, but we can only hope that this list will increase to include more devices.

How to get the YouTube Premium gift on your device
The way you get Premium is actually pretty simple. Users can redeem this YouTube Premium offer on eligible Xiaomi smartphones by opening the preinstalled YouTube app, and following the instructions or by visiting youtube.com/premium.
