Xiaomi laptops didn’t make quite the same impact as its smartphones. But honestly, they are quite good when you take the price and features into account. In recent years, Xiaomi has diversified its laptop and today it has added another laptop, dubbed Xiaomi Book S into its ever-growing portfolio. Xiaomi Book S is the company’s first 2-in-one laptop and it comes with a Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor, Windows 11, stylus support, and much more. The Xiaomi laptop has been unveiled officially in Europe. Let’s have a look at all the details.
Xiaomi Book S Specifications and features
As mentioned above, Xiaomi Book S is a 2-in-one laptop meaning that it can be used both as a laptop and a tablet. The laptop comes with a 12.35-inch display and has a 16:10 aspect ratio which makes it taller than a typical 16:9 panel. It has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 with up to 500 nits of brightness. Moreover, the laptop covers 100% of DCI-P3.
Since It’s a 2-in-one device, the screen supports touch. In addition, the Xiaomi Book S is also compatible with the Xiaomi Smart Pen and no the pen doesn’t come with the laptop, you’ll need to buy it separately. The pen supports Bluetooth and features two buttons for quick actions.
The laptop gains power from a 7nm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is fueled by a 38.08Whr battery, which can last up to 13 hours of continuous use. The battery comes with a 65W fast charging support.
The Xiaomi Book S houses a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper. Other notable features include dual 2W stereo speakers and dual microphones. The laptop runs Windows 11 out of the box.
The Xiaomi Book S is priced at €699 and will be sold through the official Xiaomi website in Europe. The laptop will be available for sale starting from June 21. It is not known when the laptop will make its way to other countries. We hope to learn more in the coming days.
