Xiaomi has failed to join the AnTuTu benchmark flagship ranking this month, but the company remains the dominant name in the mid-range section of the competition.
AnTuTu recently released its ranking for February. AnTuTu offers the ranking every month, naming 10 flagship and 10 mid-range smartphones with the highest scores in its tests. Unfortunately for Xiaomi, unlike in the past months, none of its devices made it to the flagship list, from Poco to Redmi.
According to AnTuTu, Oppo Find X7 dominated its tests last February, followed by other devices from brands like ASUS, iQOO, RedMagic, vivo, and Nubia. This is different from the past months when the Chinese company used to enter the list with at least one or two models.
Despite that, Xiaomi and its brands managed to fill several positions in the mid-range ranking of AnTuTu. According to the February ranking of its benchmark, several spots on the list were secured by Redmi, with the K70E making the top. The smartphone model is powered by Dimensity 8300 Ultra, which is complemented by the unit’s 16GB RAM. The brand also placed in the third, seventh, and ninth spots, thanks to Redmi Note 12 Turbo, Note 12 T Pro, and K60E, respectively.
In the coming months, the list is expected to experience change, with Xiaomi and its brands starting to release more models. However, it is important to note that the numbers being provided by AnTuTu are products of some benchmark tests (full CPU integer, single thread integer, single thread floating, full CPU floating performance tests, and others), which are all synthetic. As such, the numbers do not generally define the worth of mobile devices as they only test the components of the SoC or certain parts of the system. It can be useful to provide ideas about the CPU’s capabilities but not a reliable measurement of the whole system’s performance. Nonetheless, if you want a quick idea of the devices in the market, it could be a useful initial detail to consider.
