We informed you about the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro earlier. We expect Redmi K60 Pro to be released under POCO F5 branding as well. In contrast to the Redmi Note series, Redmi K series phones often come with a flagship CPU.
Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro will be introduced this year. As the name suggests, you would expect the “Pro” model to come with a faster processor, but oddly enough, Redmi K60 comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while Redmi K60 Pro comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Admittedly both processors are pretty fast, but it’s pretty surprising that the Pro model comes with an older processor. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was featured on many flagship phones released in 2022.
Redmi K60 series
Lu Weibing, general manager in China, shared a post on Weibo asking users which CPU they prefer. Lu Weibing didn’t mention model of the next phone for sure, but we expect Redmi K60 series to debut very soon.
Lu Weibing made a poll on Weibo questioning users’ favorite CPU. This year’s fastest Redmi phone will be “Redmi K60” but don’t forget Redmi K60 Pro comes with a 2K display!
This year’s Redmi K60 series is very likely to come in three models, Redmi K60E, Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro. Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro will be come with MIUI 14 out of the box, whereas Redmi K60E will come with MIUI 13 preinstalled.
