You can also choose the movement of the robot while mopping: a snake-like pattern, or a Y-shape. From additional settings on the app, you can see the do not disturb mode and can turn the robot’s voice on and off, and choose their volume.
Convenience
Like we said before, the Xiaomi Mijia LDS Vacuum Cleaner speaks in Chinese. In terms of the map, you can choose to turn off saving it, set up no-go zones, choose the needed map from the saved maps, set up virtual walls and edit your map. For example, name the room’s and edit the borders.
Lastly, the final functions are calibrating the sensors, turning on finding my robot, checking the water level, manually controlling it, changing the robot’s name, sharing your controls, and updating the software.
All of the main functions are laid down. The only thing that would make this perfect would be no-go zones just for mopping, and automatic power increases on carpets, for which the robot could have gotten extra points.
Performance – User Thoughts
In a room with obstacles, the vacuum cleaner goes along the room, then goes through the area in a snake-like pattern. It did not get stuck on the drying rack, individually vacuumed around the box and all of the chair legs, and returned to the base without a problem.

The Xiaomi Mijia LDS Vacuum Cleaner is great with obstacles. It easily goes over .78 inch (2cm) baseboards, and this vacuum is actually scared of dark surfaces and recognizes them as cliffs. This is important to note.
Noise Level
Even in the lowest mode, the robot vacuum cleaner’s noise level goes up to 64.5dB. In standard mode, it reaches 68dB, in the medium mode it is 71dB, and in Turbo it goes all the way up to 73dB. We have to say that this is one loud robot, even though the suction power is standard.
Should you buy the Xiaomi Mijia LDS Vacuum Cleaner?
The robot did great vacuuming and mopping on hard surfaces. It can simultaneously vacuum and mop. It has a good navigation system. The vacuum cleaner has the main functions, including the additional map functions. You can add a custom voice pack, and it is great with obstacles. You should also keep in mind that the robot is scared of dark surfaces, very loud working, not good at cleaning carpets, and there are problems with controlling through the Chinese Mi Home App. So, there is a point to buying it for $250, and if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner, you should definitely give this a chance.
