Leaker says Xiaomi Mix Flip, Huawei Pocket 2, Honor Magic V Flip successors coming this year

Xiaomi, Huawei, and Honor are reportedly releasing the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, Honor Magic V Flip 2, and Huawei Pocket 3 this year.

Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the news in a recent post on Weibo. According to the tipster, the three major brands will upgrade the next generations of their current flip phone offerings. The account shared in an earlier post that one flip phone would be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, claiming that it would debut earlier than its predecessor. As per speculations, it could be the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2.

In a separate post, DCS suggested that the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 will support wireless charging, have an IPX8 protection rating, and have a thinner and more durable body.

The news coincides with the MIX Flip 2’s appearance on the EEC platform, where it was spotted with the 2505APX7BG model number. This clearly confirms that the handheld will be offered in the European market and possibly in other global markets.

Details about the other two flip phones from Huawei and Honor remain scarce, but they could adopt several specifications of their predecessors.
