Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Honor Magic V3 reportedly launching in July

July will be exciting for foldable fans, as it is tipped that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Honor Magic V3 will launch in the said month.

That is according to a claim made by popular leaker account Smart Pikachu on Weibo, claiming that the two models will both arrive next month. According to the tipster, both phones will be promising, with the Honor Magic V3 rumored to get a “larger battery.” The capacity of the model’s battery was not shared, but this could mean that it will be better than the 5000mAh battery in Honor Magic V2 with 66W wired charging capability.

As for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, the account claimed that it would have a smaller 5000mAh battery. Despite this, this is still considered an upgrade compared to the current 4800mAh battery in the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.

In the post, it was also shared that the Xiaomi foldable will have a quad-camera setup. As we reported after a Mi codes analysis, we discovered that the phone’s main camera would have a 50MP resolution and 1/1.55” size. It will also use the same sensor found in the Redmi K70 Pro: the Ovx8000 sensor AKA Light Hunter 800.

Down in the telephoto resection, the Mix Fold 4 has the Omnivision OV60A, which boasts 16MP resolution, a 1/2.8” size, and 2X optical zoom. This, however, is the sad part, as it is a downgrade from the 3.2X telephoto of the Mix Fold 3. On a positive note, it will be accompanied by a S5K3K1 sensor, which is also found in the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22. The telephoto sensor measures 1/3.94” and has a 10MP resolution and a 5X optical zoom capability.

Lastly, there’s the OV13B ultra-wide-angle sensor, which has a 13MP resolution and a 1/3″ sensor size. The foldable phone’s inner and cover selfie cameras, on the other hand, will employ the same 16MP OV16F sensor.
