Xiaomi Pad 6 series has been announced that includes Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. While the standard variant will be available for purchase globally, the Pro edition will remain exclusive to China. Notably, both models offer unique features. Xiaomi Pad 6 series is equipped with a detachable keyboard that makes the tablet working like a laptop, let’s take a closer look at the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.
Xiaomi Pad 6 series
Xiaomi Pad 6 series features a unique keyboard that introduces a bunch of new gestures working on its tiny touchpad. This keyboard mimics the functionality of a laptop touchpad and is equipped with an NFC antenna, allowing for effortless data transfer between your phone and tablet via NFC.
Xiaomi Pad 6 series has a slim profile, measuring only 6.51mm in thickness, which can be considered very compact. It weighs around 490 grams. In addition to the touch screen control, Xiaomi Pad 6 can be operated through touchpad gestures using the new Xiaomi keyboard. You have to purchase the new keyboard separately as it is not included with the tablet.

Xiaomi Pad 6 series comes in three different colors: black, blue and golden. The display present on both Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro is the same. Xiaomi Pad 6 series comes with an 11″ LCD display with 16:10 ratio.
Xiaomi Pad 6 series offers a stylus with minimalistic design. The new stylus features a nib with elastomer material to imitate writing like on a real paper. The stylus has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
Xiaomi Pad 6 series features dual camera setup at the back with a wide angle camera and ultrawide angle camera. The tablets are equipped with 4 microphones making your video calls even better, a 20 MP selfie camera is present at the front. Xiaomi introduced a new software feature that makes the tablet’s battery life lasting even more, allowing the tablet to remain charged for up to 47.9 days when the new standby mode is enabled. What’s more interesting about Xiaomi Pad 6 series is the charging port, it is USB 3.2 Gen 1. Xiaomi tablets can break the limitation of USB 2.0 speeds together with Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Xiaomi Pad 6
Although the Xiaomi Pad 6 is the only tablet that will be offered globally, it is a robust device. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and an 11-inch IPS display boasting a resolution of 2.8K (309 ppi). The display has a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
Xiaomi Pad 6 has an 8,840 mAh battery and equipped with fast charging at 33W. While the Pro version includes 67W fast charging, Xiaomi Pad 6 should still provide decent battery life thanks to its efficient Snapdragon 870 processor and large battery. The tablet comes with MIUI Pad 14 installed on top of Android 13.
Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro
Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is a China-exclusive tablet and it comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is already available, but Xiaomi has chosen to use the chipset from last year. Although the global model only has Snapdragon 870, we can say that both tablets have enough power for daily tasks.
The display of Pro variant is same as the one on Xiaomi Pad 6. We can say that the difference between these two tablets is only the processor and battery. Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro has a slightly larger 8,600 mAh battery and 67W fast charging. The Pro model comes with MIUI Pad 14 installed on top of Android 13 as well.
