YouTube Premium Membership Price Increased in All Regions

YouTube Premium membership prices have gone up worldwide. YouTube, Google’s video sharing platform, has been offering privileges to its users under the Premium membership since 2018. If you’re tired of seeing annoying ads while watching videos, YouTube Premium is a good solution, but it’s a bit more expensive now. YouTube’s “price regulation” mails that users worldwide receive from Google are on the agenda for several days. There is a high increase in membership prices.

Google recently sent an mail to its YouTube Premium subscribers and announced that YouTube will raise the membership prices of individual, family, and student plans after November 21, 2022. YouTube Premium team said in an email to subscribers; “This update will allow us to develop even more premium features and continue to support creators and artists on YouTube.”

According to information provided by Premium users in USA, Canada region, YouTube Premium Family Plan price has been increased from $17.99 to $22.99. And users from UK region says the price of same planincreased from £17.99 to £19.99 per month. There are also increases in other regions compared to local pricing. Increase amount of family plan in Japan from ¥1,780 to ¥2,280 per month. In Turkey, family plan increased from ₺29.99 to ₺59.99. YouTube cites changes in market and global inflation as reasons for its hikes. Below is a response from YouTube Team’s official Twitter account. They state that they haven’t increased prices since 2018 and that they aren’t satisfied with it, they have to.
