Xiaomi Mi A3, once a major hit phone of Xiaomi, has become outdated like any smartphones out there. There is no escaping this fate. Some devices however, last longer on the market because of the spectacular specs they have. Is Mi A3 one of them? We hope to bring some clarity on the subject in this article.
Xiaomi Mi A3 in 2022
Mi A3 comes with Snapdragon 665 processor and 4 GB of RAM along with 6.09″ IPS screen and 4030mAh battery capacity. Processor is quite old especially considering many upper models in both midrange and high-end levels that have been introduced since. While 4GB RAM over time has become inadequate for the device usage, 6GB version might just save the day, and it is still an option on many newer models.
However, whether this device is still usable to this day or not is a question that can only be answered based on your usage details. This device will of course not be satisfactory if you’re interested in playing games, especially on high settings but also low settings. It is highly recommended that you upgrade/consider buying a newer model if you are focused on gameplays. In terms of design, it is considerably an older look but not archaic nevertheless. Overall, this device may only be usable to you if you do not heavily depend on your device, only watch movies and scroll through social media.
Is Xiaomi Mi A3 smooth to use?
Answer to this question in most parts depend on your ROM. Since Mi A series use AOSP rather than heavily customized MIUI ROM, it is much less bloated and possess the performance of stock Android. It is expected to run smoothly unless you are doing heavy tasks on it. On certain ROMs that are heavily bloated and rich in visual features such as MIUI and so on, you may run into certain lags.
Is the Mi A3 camera still successful?
Yes. The Mi A3 uses 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and the quality that we get from this sensor is quite similar to Redmi Note 7 Pro, which is good. Thanks to the successful ISP of the Snapdragon 665, you can still take quite successful photos using Google Camera. By using RAW photo modes, you can take better pictures than most phones using long exposure. All you have to do is find the correct Google Camera settings. You can get suitable Google Camera for Mi A3 using GCamLoader app.
